It's Five Minute Friday! If you have a minute, go visit Lisa Jo Baker and show her some love! That's the whole reason why we do what we do. :)
First thing she did this morning when she got up, was grab the nearest Princess dress she could find and ask momma to help put it on. From there, she found a pretty strand of pretend pearls and pulled it on over her head and began dancing on tiptoes in the living room singing "Pwetty pincess!"
The dancing and singing continues for another 10-15 minutes, until she becomes interested in the schoolwork that big sissy is doing. Always wanting to be just like her, she pulls out her box of crayons and paper and eagerly begins her "schoolwork." After only a few minutes, she is on to the next activity...this goes on all afternoon. Playing with her toys, doing her "schoolwork", but always coming back to playing the Princess. In fact, 6 hours later, she is still wearing the Princess dress and I occasionally see a tip-toe dance and hear some more singing. At one point, she even let me put a pony tail in after I told her it was a "Princess pony tail". And to the best of my ability, it was a cute little Cinderella bun to match her frilly Cinderella dress. (At 21 months, she is usually very adamant about not wanting her hair done.) ;)
My day has consisted of schooling my oldest and watching my youngest play, but they both have learned, explored, and discovered today and that makes me smile.
